Tata Motors keeps asking for more

In today's growing and competitive environment companies prefer to focus on their core business and outsource its allied non-core activities. That's the business of BVG.

BVG has taken this non-core business and made it its core and evolved as a progressive facilities management organization. BVG's commitment revolves around the concept of partnership with its clients to help them improve the quality and standard of services and reduce cost. Its association with Tata Motors is a classic example.

The relationship that started with one activity has matured into a multiple business opportunities. And it keeps expanding every year.

The association that started in 1997-98 with a manual housekeeping contrast has evolved into much more. Manual was substituted with mechanized housekeeping of more than three million sq. ft. per day.

Besides, BVG has also undertaken maintaining the landscaping and gardening of more than four million sq. ft. per day for Tata Motors plants and also runs a guesthouse for Tata Motors with a capacity of 250 guests.

The facilities management relationship was accentured into more value added responsibilities for us. We undertook the system maintenace contract for the Indica Pant Paint Shop to prevent rusting due to dust particles. We created an ISO Class 5 (i.e. 5 micron dust level less than 29/ m3) facilities to ensure world-class painting of car bodies. The first and the only one in India.

Tata Motors entrusted us with yet another critical responsibility. To undertake Material Supply Logistics service on a JIT basis for its Indica Plant at Pune. We manage the assembly handling of 2200 different types of items on daily basis to facilitate Indica production smoothly at 90 seconds/vechile amounting to 550 vechiles per day. Besides, we also the Outbound Logistics for thier cars and commercial vechiles amounting to 1100 vechiles per day with zero accidents.

The other service offering include Electrical Maintenance, Dinitrol Treatment and Transportation of manpower amont others and have resulted in cost reductions, process improvements, enhanced service levels and technology-driven efficiencies for them.

The people relationship has grown to more than 700 BVGemployess dedicated to Tata Motors. The revenue from Tata Motors has grown from Rs.8 lacs to Rs 8 corers in the last eight years.

Through our efforts we will ensure Tata Motors focuses on its core - make and sell more cars and commercial vehicles - and leave the rest to us.
